Reports

Reports overview

The Reports section is where you create, customize, and share production documents such as call sheets, sides, Day Out of Days charts, and schedules. This overview explains where to find each report and whether it updates automatically or only when you refresh it.

Before you start

  • You have a project selected, with at least one episode and a parsed script.
  • For schedule-driven reports (call sheet, one-liner, Full Overview, DOOD), you have a scenario that is active or locked in the Schedule section. Without one, those reports show an empty state asking you to activate a scenario.

Where report information comes from

Reports use information from your script, breakdown, cast, crew, and schedule. Schedule-based reports use the scenario selected in Reports and the latest script revision accepted for production.

Editing a report does not change your script, breakdown, crew, or schedule. For saved reports, select Refresh Data when you want to bring in newer production information.

Some information belongs only to an individual call sheet, including general call, special instructions, custom tables and notes, section titles, header crew, logos, accent colour, catering comments, and push-call display choices. Editing these changes only that call sheet. See Create a call sheet.

The hub

The Reports section opens with seven cards, one for each report type. Select a card to open that report.

Card Description Guide
Call Sheet Daily crew logistics, cast calls, and scene schedule Create a call sheet
Sides Script pages for shooting days Generate sides
Day Out of Days Cast schedule matrix across all shooting days Read the Day Out of Days report
One-Liner Condensed scene order with key details Generate a one-liner
Department Lists Filtered breakdown by department Generate a department list
Cast Info Sheet Complete per-day cast packets with contact, measurements, wardrobe, and prep Read a cast info sheet
Full Overview Comprehensive schedule with all breakdown data Generate a Full Overview

The Reports rail

Once you open a report, a left rail stays docked beside it (it collapses to a slide-over drawer on narrow screens). The rail has three parts:

  • Project chip — the project thumbnail, name, and the active scenario underneath. A chevron beside it opens the scenario picker, where you switch which scenario every schedule-driven report reads from. Locked scenarios are marked (locked). This is the only place you change scenarios inside Reports.
  • Document dropdown — a compact selector to jump between the seven reports without returning to the hub.
  • Context panel — the lower part of the rail changes per report. It holds the call sheet’s SECTIONS checklist, the sides reader’s view settings, and report-specific display or category controls.

Bookmark or share a report view

Each report view has its own web address. You can bookmark it or copy the address to return to the same report later. Access still depends on the viewer’s project role and any sharing settings for that report.

Reports you save and reports that stay current

Some reports keep a saved version so a document you distribute does not change unexpectedly. Others always show the latest project information.

Reports you save

Call Sheet, One-Liner, and Full Overview keep a saved version. Before you save one, the report shows a read-only preview of the latest information:

  • The call sheet uses Create Draft.
  • The one-liner and Full Overview use Sync from Schedule.

The saved version does not change on its own. After saving it, you can edit the report and use Refresh Data when you want newer production information. Choose Preserve My Edits to keep your changes or Replace Everything to start again from the latest information.

Exporting or sharing uses the saved version. If you have not saved one yet, SceneItAll asks you to do so first.

Reports that stay current

Sides, Day Out of Days, Department Lists, and Cast Info Sheet show the latest available information whenever you open them. You do not need to save or refresh them first.

Report How it updates
Call Sheet Select Create Draft, then use Refresh Data when needed
One-Liner Select Sync from Schedule, then use Refresh Data when needed
Full Overview Select Sync from Schedule, then use Refresh Data when needed; cells can be edited
Sides Always shows current information
Day Out of Days Always shows current information
Department Lists Always shows current information
Cast Info Sheet Always shows current information

Scene numbers across episodes

On a project with more than one episode, two episodes can both have a scene 12, and a project-wide shoot day can hold both. Every report therefore shows each scene’s episode beside its number:

  • A single scene reads S01E02 · 12, or shows S01E02 above the number in narrow columns.
  • A list of scenes is grouped by episode: S01E01: 2, 5 · S01E02: 1, 4.

Projects with a single episode keep plain scene numbers. Reports that stay current show the labels straight away. A saved Call Sheet, One-Liner or Full Overview shows them after its next Refresh Data.

Variations

Call Sheet, One-Liner, and Full Overview support named variations. A version picker at the top shows the active variation and a Manage button. The first saved version is called Main.

In Manage, you can create an empty variation, copy the active one, or start with the latest production information. You can also choose the primary variation, rename it, or delete it. Editing or refreshing one variation does not change the others. See Create a call sheet for an example.

Sides, Day Out of Days, Department Lists, and Cast Info Sheet do not have variations because they always show current information.

Exporting and sharing

Export actions and formats vary by report and role. Use the actions shown in that report’s side panel; many reports expose Export PDF, while some supported workflows also offer Print or Share Link.

To distribute an exported report by email, open Crew → Mailing List. Copy the relevant addresses or open a pre-addressed draft in Gmail, Outlook, or your default mail app, then attach the exported file yourself.

Watermarking exports

You can stamp a project-wide watermark (for example CONFIDENTIAL or the project name and date) across every report — preview, PDF, print, HTML, and spreadsheet exports. It is configured once for the whole project. See Add a watermark to every export.
